Health Center Facts

In 2011, Rhode Island Community health centers served over 123,000 residents in Rhode Island. In addition, community health centers provided over 520,000 patient visits.

Every Rhode Islander has the right to affordable, comprehensive healthcare.

The Rhode Island Health Center Association works to support, sustain, and strengthen community health centers so they can provide high-quality, comprehensive health care. Rhode Island’s nine community health centers provide comprehensive preventive and primary care services, including dental services, to over 123,000 Rhode Islanders at 29 locations across the state.

Family Resource Counselors

If you have a family with children under the age of 19 or are pregnant, there are RIte Care application assistants, called Family Resource Counselors, available at the health centers and other locations throughout the state who can assist you with your RIte Care application.
