2008 Rhode Island Health Center Association Data book
We are pleased to present the 2008 Rhode Island Health Center Association Data book. Forty years ago, as part of his “War on Poverty,” President Lyndon B. Johnson began the community health center program. The health centers goal is to provide affordable, high-quality and comprehensive primary care to medically underserved populations, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. This data book serves to illustrate the work and challenges the community health centers face as the Rhode Island primary care safety net.
